PCRC is located just steps from the beach at South Coast Medical Center, a not-for-profit, 208-bed community, acute care hospital. PCRC is unique as a hospital-based program allowing care to be provided in a private and medically safe setting. Acute medical detoxification, intensive rehabilitation programs, and a family program are provided in one location. A featured specialty service is an exclusive treatment track for individuals with chronic pain and chemical dependency.

Medical consultation and a 24-hour a day emergency department is available, if needed. Addiction team members include physicians, nurses, certified drug/alcohol counselors, psychologists, acupuncturist, a holistic health nurse, massage therapist and recreational therapists
